Pathological Anatomy Section

Please note that the Pathological Anatomy section is not recommended for people under 16 years of age, pregnant women and particularly sensitive individuals, as it houses advanced pathologies, congenital anomalies and bodily alterations that may not be suitable for everyone’s sensitivity.

The Morgagni Museum is open for guided tours only. It is not possible to visit the Museum on your own.

Visitors with motor disabilities can access the Museum via the accessible entrance ramp. However, we kindly ask that you notify the Museum staff in advance to receive more detailed information.

Photography and video recording of the anatomical specimens inside the Museum are not permitted.

Book a guided tour
  • For groups (up to 25 people) it is possible to visit the museum accompanied by our guide.
  • The guided tour lasts 1 hour and has a total cost of 50 euros, with a maximum of 25 people per visit.
  • Reservation is mandatory at least one week in advance to allow us to organize in the best way and the stay in the Museum is linked to the guided tour.
  • The visit can be conducted in Italian or English.
  • The request for the visit must be made through the Museum’s phone number or email address.

WHERE WE ARE

The Museum of Human Anatomy “G.B. Morgagni” – Pathological Anatomy Section is located just outside the historic center of Padua, in Via Aristide Gabelli, 59. within the complex of the Anatomical Institutes. Positioned near the hospital facilities it is easily accessible on foot and by public transport.
Access to the Pathological Anatomy section of the Morgagni Museum is through the entrance at 59 Via Gabelli. Upon arrival, please wait at the external entrance until museum staff arrive to escort you inside.
For technical reasons, visitors are requested to arrive just before the scheduled time and wait in the courtyard without occupying the space designated for hospital and university service vehicles.

HOW TO REACH US

By car

A4 Turin – Trieste Highway | Padua West or Padua East exits.

A13 Bologna – Padua Highway | Padua South and Padua Industrial Zone exits.

To reach the museum on foot we recommend parking your car at:

  • Piazza Rabin Parking, adjacent to Prato della Valle | Via 58° Reggimento Fanteria, 1, 35123 Padua PD
  • Padua Centro Park, adjacent to the former Boschetti square | Via Trieste 50, 35121 Padua
On foot

The museum is located near the intersection of via Falloppio, San Massimo and Civil Hospital. It can be easily reached on foot from the Civil Hospital (3 min), from the Basilica of Saint Anthony (9 min) and from Prato della Valle (15 min) and from the bus and train stations (25 min).

By train

Numerous trains connect Padua with all major Italian cities. The railway station is about a 25-minute WALK from the museum. From the station it is also possible to take a TAXI, the TRAM or LINE BUSES.

Bus e tram

The most convenient stop for those using buses is Padua Hospital, then continue for about 250 meters on foot.
The nearest tram stops are:

  • Ponti Romani, then continue for 800 m on foot (about 11 minutes)
  • Tito Livio, then continue for 950 m on foot (about 13 minutes)
